Monster Island, the 2019 mockbuster from The Asylum, was released in the same period as Godzilla King of the Monsters. Monster Island, an island on which a monster could be found, is the subject of this movie.


This asylum movie has the budget for a large kid's dinner. The film uses it wisely. It focuses on a handful of people and keeps its big actors on one stage so that all sequences can be recorded during lunch. However, this is the kaiju genre, so maybe The Asylum won't do a (Monster Island (2019) by Decker Shado) horrible job?
